Philosophy of Spring Baptist Academy
The educational philosophy of Spring Baptist Academy is based on a God-centered view that the Bible is absolute truth. All learning, instruction, and truth comes from this infallibly inspired and authoritative Word of God. All things are created and sustained by God. Therefore, all creation including man, have unique relationship and purpose to glorify God. Since creation and man are under the curse of sin, this relationship and purpose can only be restored through the free gift of salvation, through God’s one and only son, Jesus Christ. With this established relationship, man can commit their life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, bringing honor and glory to His name. We aim to provide a total worldview that is founded in the Bible, therefore instilling godly character and a proper understanding of a person's role in life at home, work, play and in worship. These roles all being grounded in the biblical concept of love.
Spring Baptist Academy has the responsibility of meeting and supporting the needs of the whole child, which encompasses the spiritual, mental, intellectual, physical, and social-emotional aspects of life. Due to this critical responsibility, our philosophy supports our strong efforts in promoting high academic standards while helping students to achieve creative and critical thinking skills while using biblical -integrated curriculum. Thus, our aim is to always avoid the tendency of teaching the Bible in isolation or compartmentally, but rather completely intertwined in all subjects to continue to support and teach the whole child. Remaining student focused guides us in developing a biblical worldview in every child, giving a firm foundation that equips them to bring glory and honor to God.
Our philosophy also incorporates the involvement and participation of the church and home. These two institutions are key pillars in developing the whole child. Together, we strive to support students to pursue the post- secondary education of his/her choosing, whether in college, university or in vocational training areas. Therefore, our unique collaborative efforts must and will stay balanced and aligned to help support student achievements, purpose, and successes today and in the future.
